Controls labeled with an * will reset miner when adjusted.
At most, 9 transactions (tx) are selected to create a 10 tx block, as the first one is the coinbase tx.
Transactions are picked first in first out, though in reality this is done by fee, ofcourse.
MD5 hashing will most likely not provide a faster simulation, but will produce a more readable result, as the hashes are shorter.
A large table (with lots of blocks) will negatively impact performance. Use the button to hide/show it.
The memory pool is auto-replenishing; it will try to prevent itself from 'running dry'. It does this with variable speed, so it might be slow to catch up if blocks are generated quickly in succession. This behaviour is intentional: allowing for transactions to dry up demonstrates that (near) empty blocks will also be mined. (You can also force this by pausing the pool and wait for it to be exhausted.)
'Real' minimal difficulty is 32 bits, or 8 leading zero's. This is too hard for mere JavaScript to compute, so the minimal difficulty for the simulator is set at 4 bits (one leading zero).
